The Beer

A pale session bitter brewed with malted barley & wheat, topped off with a blend of Progress, Pioneer & Cascade hops to give a refreshing bitter-sweet beer with a gentle citrus nudge.

The Name

A 'Twitchell' is a local dialect name for an alleyway, although these days most folk call alleyways alleyways.  Like many so-called 'local' terms it seems half of England also once used it...

The Pump Clip

It's of old Royston, before it got 'improved'.  Mind you, anyone who knows the town will recognise the location straight away.  Especially fans of shops who sell several million ideas for those last minute presents (so I am told...).

The Trivia

One advert on the shop refers to a Crow.  This would be the local paper (still in business) called the Royston Crow, which is named after the Royston Crow, which is a crow.  More correctly called a Hooded Crow, it is these days famous for not living anywhere near the town it was once named after.
