Challenger 3.8% - Being
'Rested' For The Present A golden session beer, brewed using English Challenger & Fuggles hops. The body of this beer punches above the weight of its alcohol level. |
|
|
Britannia 4.4%
A true best bitter - a pleasant balance of
malt and hop flavours wrapped up in a beer that is, well, beer coloured.
Brewed using English Bramling Cross
hops and a careful blend of 5 malts. |
|
|
Pargeter 3.7% A traditional dark mild, but with a delicate hoppy tone. The addition of just a dash of honey makes this an exceptional & highly acclaimed beer. Named for the skilled craftsman that were, and indeed are, responsible for the highly decorative plasterwork common on many buildings in the North Herts & East Essex area.

Silent Night
4.1%
Our Christmas beer, brewed to cynical cash-in
on that time of year when we all spend money we don't have just to prove
ourselves. Sorry, meant to say brewed to help celebrate Christmas and
all it's traditional values of friendship over everything else. |

|
Oatmeal Stout 4.4%
Brewed with malted oats, and even malted rye,
this is a traditional beer style without the roasted flavours normally
associated with modern stouts. |
|

Battle Of Britain Locomotive
Society, this is a pale brown beer that is normally bottled, with a limited

Silence 5.2%
Blonde beer with a citrus punch from the use of Columbus hops (grown in the USA by Yakima Indians no less). At this strength it does of course deserve some hushed respect. Pray silence for Silence. Gold -
CAMRA Ely Beer Festival March 2006 |
| Porter 5.9% A strong brew, near black in colour with a heady blend of malts that gives it a rich, slightly roasty, malt character. Ideal for mulling on those cold, dark winter nights! |
